Fundamentals

The Fundamentals course elevates your learning by developing a strong anatomy and Pilates foundation. With access to our online pre learning as well as in person contact hours you’ll learn:
In depth and digestible learning of key anatomy including skeletal system, muscles and joints
Foundational biomechanics and breathing
History and philosophy of Pilates
Extensive repertoire transferrable to the Mat and Reformer
Cueing skills
The Pilates Education Australia methodology
Programming basics and sequence structure - purpose and why
This course is the foundation of all our courses and included as a prerequisite before moving into each of the modules.

Mat Essentials

Essentials sets you up to start teaching foundational repertoire and advance on learnings from our Fundamentals course. You’ll learn:
Muscle details including muscular slings and their application in movement
Hands on adjustments and considerations
Programming skills including sample programs
Extensive catalogue of Reformer repertoire including variations and regressions
Considerations for special populations such as mature clients
Use of small apparatus
Face-to-Face hours: 2 days
Mat Progressions

Continuing to learn and refine your skills, Progressions deepens your understanding and purpose as an instructor. Progressing to more intermediate repertoire, you’ll learn:
Limb alignment and key watchouts
Intermediate repertoire to suit a variety of clients and class types
Building purpose in cueing and programming
Considerations for special populations including osteoporosis and lower back pain

Mat Challenges
STARTS SOON
Begin to master the craft, in Challenges you’ll learn more complex movements and concepts to round off your expertise. You’ll learn:
Fascia and fascial trains and their impact on the body
Principles of overload
The business of Pilates and your role in the community
Advanced Pilates repertoire to challenge your clients
Intelligent programming and how to dissect repertoire
Considerations fro special populations including women’s health
Final Exam
