Themes for programming

We love themed classes at Flux Pilates. It just makes everything better. Here are a few ways to use themes:

  • Figurative: this can be aligned to intangible ideas like energy or concepts like new year (fresh start) or find your tempo (your own pace with rhythm)

  • Anatomical: by focusing on a specific anatomical area, we can create awareness of the physical body and help refine alignment, activation or release. For e.g. muscular focus, muscular slings, planes of movement, functional movements, breathing

  • Repertoire: sequencing to lead into a “peak” exercise or maybe a family of exercises. The sequence will deconstruct complex movements and prepare the body
